2021 APBA-Key West World Championship
Key West is not your typical stop for the APBA Offshore National Series. It is the World Championship! This event brings teams and fans from across the country to Key West to compete in a total of three different racing events. Each race is scored individually, and at the end of the third event, a World Champion is crowned. This event offers much more than just boat racing. On Thursday, the Sandbar Sports Grill will be holding a charity benefit for Samuel’s House. Friday night, The Duval Powerboat Street Party will be packed with boats on display and thousands of fans enjoying the biggest street party of the year, and of course, you are in Key West. Key West may be small in size but what they have to offer is worth the trip.
REV X has been the primary sponsor of the Hurricane of Awesomeness, Lilly Sport Boat/REV X Drive Stock V Boat with Britt Lilly and Kevin Smith for eight seasons. Since Brit started using Drive H in his drive unit, he has not experienced any gear failures in his drives. Talking with Brit, he told us that he would burn up an outdrive every two to three events. With Drive H they could go one to two seasons. Not only saving time on repairs but lots of money. Anybody that knows a Bravo rebuilds knows it’s six thousand a build. The abuse these drives take during the events is torture on a drive. He wouldn’t attempt an event without Drive H in his drive.
Keep an eye on our social media for updates, photos, interviews, and live’s throughout the whole weekend. Good luck on the Lilly Sport Boat team, and we will see you on the podium at Key West.
