REV X Adrenaline Marine Gasoline Additive

Adrenaline Marine Gas Additive's best feature is eliminating ethanol's harmful effects up to an E20 (20%) level. With this in mind, most marine engines' do not run well on ethanol at the current mix of 10% to 20%.  Not to mention, some manufacturers may void warranties if the engine or fuel system shows damage caused by ethanol.  Given these points, be sure to test gas using the REV X Ethanol Super Tester.

Without protection, fuel systems can suffer corrosion, drying, and cracking.  In particular, these effects are most often seen in soft metals, seals, delaminate fuel hoses, and damaged fuel tanks. On the positive side, damage caused by ethanol can be avoided by adding Adrenaline Marine to the gas.

  • Adrenaline Marine increases fuel storage life up to 12 months.
  • A highly concentrated formula saves you money.
  • Adrenaline Marine deep cleans & dissolves carbon and varnish deposits.
  • Increases or restores lost fuel economy and engine performance.
  • It protects engines and fuel systems from ethanol issues, like corrosion.
  • It helps eliminate and prevent rust in the engine and fuel system.
  • Works up to E20 (20% Ethanol blends) double that of most fuel treatments.
  • Adrenaline Marine will not void any manufacturer's warranties.

Why Dissolving is Better than Stripping

At some point, the fuel system in your boat or other marine engines will get dirty.  This sludge and carbon buildup is a by-product of internal combustion engines.  Most fuel additives strip these contaminants, leaving debris to clog the filters or injectors.  In the case of carbon, these large chunks of tough carbon may even cause damage to cylinder walls, pistons, or valves.  Adrenaline Marine dissolves the carbon and other dirt and sludge, keeping your engine running smooth, without the fear of clogging fuel filters or injectors.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ethanol

Using ethanol-blended gas is perfectly fine for most newer engines, up to E10 or 10%.  After all, ethanol gives you more power and a lower gas price, so why not take advantage of it.  But for older engines, outdoor power equipment, and gas that tests above 10%, you need to treat the fuel before use.  Using AdrenalineAdrenaline Marine, or Adrenaline XTreme Clean will protect you from the harmful side effects of ethanol.
High oxygen levels in ethanol cause gas to burn much faster than ethanol-free gas. Which means more gas is needed to produce the same amount of power. However, this extra power comes at a cost with lower miles per gallon but an increase in horsepower.
Ethanol’s ability to attract and absorb water prevents the natural lubricants in gas from doing their job.  Because of this, all non-alcohol-resistant parts like rubber and plastic will dry out, crack, and eventually fail. High levels of oxygen in ethanol-blended fuels cause fuel to decay much faster as well, and if left to sit, that decay leaves deposits such as varnish and sludge. The sediments left by the decaying ethanol-blended gas can clog fuel filters, fuel injectors, carburetors, and fuel lines. Making your engine hard to start, idle rough, stall, and in extreme circumstances can lead to engine failure.  Under those circumstances, it is vital to treat your fuel with a corrosion inhibitor such as any of our Adrenaline Gasoline Treatments.
Ethanol, like all alcohol, is very corrosive and hygroscopic (attracts and absorbs water from the air and its surrounding), which is not a good combination for boats or personal watercraft. High amounts of this highly corrosive mixture of water and ethanol will corrode all fuel system components not designed for it. Besides the corrosive nature of this mixture, the water increase will begin to rust out the top of gas tanks. Warm-weather climates are not immune, even though they generally do not have an issue with rust.
Ethanol is in almost all the gas you buy, with levels as high as 20% in parts of the country. First of all, the idea was to use ethanol to reduce oil consumption, the price of gas and provide a much-needed boost to farmers. Unfortunately, people find out that ethanol is not that friendly for the fuel systems in 2 or 4 stroke engines.
